Who Should Attend

Most participants are senior-level managers who have 10 or more years of experience in management roles, have spent the majority of their careers in the energy industry, and currently manage a business unit, division or subsidiary. Participants are drawn from both domestic and international firms; national, private, and public companies; and a variety of functional areas. Reflecting the global nature of this industry, participation by non-U.S. managers is about 75 percent of any given program. This diversity adds a valuable dimension to the program.


Attire

Program attire is casual. Phoenix offers a year-round sunny climate. Humidity is low, with temperatures ranging from 60 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit in November.

Continuing Education Units

The continuing education unit (CEU) is a recognized method of quantifying participation in an organized continuing education experience under qualified instruction. One CEU is equal to 10 contact hours of time spent in such an educational experience. The main purpose of CEUs is to provide a permanent record of the educational accomplishments of an individual who has completed non-credit educational and career-enhancement activities.

Each participant successfully completing the Advanced Management Program for Oil and Gas Industry Executives program is eligible to receive 6.5 CEUs.

Accommodations

Thunderbird's Executive Inn, located on the Thunderbird campus, features 134 private bedrooms equipped with a desk, cable TV, refrigerator, coffee maker, high-speed Internet, and private phone service with voicemail. Same-day laundry service is available. For your safety and convenience, all facilities are non-smoking and accommodations can be made for special needs.


Tuition
