Global Understanding for Executives

The Thunderbird Language and Culture Programs (TLCP) offers Customized Language and Culture Programs, providing intensive training for executives to increase their ability to conduct business in different countries and cultures.

• TLCP provides training in various languages: Chinese, English as a Second Language, Spanish, and others upon request.
• Language programs typically total 25-30 hours per week
• Dates for courses are scheduled by the TLCP director and the client. Generally, programs can start any time of the year
• TLCP includes country or area cultural orientation, which can be weaved into the language training or conducted separately
• Our custom English as a Second Language programs can offer tailored classes such as presentation skills, effective business writing, and technical writing for international executives. These courses are open to individuals who speak English as their native or non-native language
• English for Special Purposes (ESP) programs are also offered and designed to meet the specialized needs of specific industries such as hospitality, tourism, medical, banking, high technology and more. For example, a company may request to concentrate on specific vocabulary used in the pharmaceutical industry or other specialized industries.
